Upgrading

Upgrading from a Previous Version (Optional):

To avoid compatibility issues when upgrading from a previous version, follow these steps:  

1. Back Up Your Data:  

Within the original application, go to the main menu and select "Export Main TM" and "Export Main TB" to create backups of your translation memory (TM) and termbase (TB). 

2. Launch the New Version:

Start the new version of Goucat Edu (version 0.803 or higher). You might be prompted to register. Ignore this step for now.

3. Log In with Existing Credentials: 

Go to "Settings" and then "User." Log in using your existing registration details (username and password). Restart the application.

4. Import Backed Up Data:

After restarting, import your previously backed-up TM and TB data. You can do this from the main menu by selecting "Import Main TM..." and "Import Main TB...".
