Objective:

The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the basic principles of the field, and the terminology and position of museology in the system of sciences and important personalities. The course is further divided into three basic parts: Collection management, Museum presentation. Museum managementt and marketing.

Brief outline:

  • Definition of museology, relationship to museology, museography.
  • Basic terminology of museology and cultural heritage.
  • Collections and collecting activities of museums.
  • Museum presentation and pedagogy.
  • Museum Management and Marketing

Graduation Requirements:

  • The instructor will accept a maximum of 2 absences.
  • Final sixty-minute quiz.
