Objective:
The course focuses on the history of regional public administration in the Kingdom of Hungary to the year 1848. After successfully completing the course, the students have an overview of the development, forms, institutions and functionaries of urban and rural administration.
Brief outline:
- „Hradské španstvo“ („várispánság“), its functionaries and inhabitants
- Noble county and its functionaries
- Regions with distinctive status and administration
- Institutions and functionaries of urban and rural administration
- Ottomanic administration
- Ecclesiastical administration
Graduation Requirements:
- During the semester: seminar work (the topic will be selected upon agreement with the teacher) and preliminary written test (in the 8th week, 50 points).
- In the examination period: written test (50 points). The dates for the tests will be announced through AIS no later than in the last week of the instruction period.
- A maximum of two absences will be accepted. In case of more documentation is required.
