The Scientific Board is a collective body with a significant role in the life of the Faculty of Arts, Comenius University. The Scientific Board of the Faculty of Arts, Comenius University Bratislava, in accordance with the Statute of Comenius University Bratislava (Art. 5/2023), has the following responsibilities: discussing long-term faculty policies, evaluating the faculty's level in educational and scientific research activities at least once a year, approving supervisors for doctoral studies, discussing proposals for awarding the title of Associate Professor and making decisions on their outcomes, discussing and submitting proposals for the professor appointments to the Scientific Board of Comenius University, discussing and submitting general criteria for filling the professor and associate professor posts at the faculty to the Scientific Board of Comenius University, discussing and submitting specific conditions for the selection procedure for filling the professor posts at the faculty to the Scientific Board of Comenius University, performing other designated duties. The term of office of the members of the Board is four years.
