Dr. Eva Benková specializes in her research and teaching on Slovakia in early modern period (political, economic and social aspects). She focuses in her research on the history of viticulture and wine production in the area of Small Carpathians, history of upper Gemer region and estates of Pálfi lineage. Her most important publications are: Vinohradníctvo na panstve Červený Kameň v ranom novoveku (Viticulture at the estate of Červený Kameň in the early modern period, 2017); Pôsobnosť kapitánov na hrade Krásna Hôrka v 70. a začiatkom 80. rokov 16. storočia (Captains at the Castle of Krásna Hôrka in the 1570s and early 1580s, 2016). She received grants of Comenius University (2012 – 2013), Agriculture in Small Carpathians in the 17th and 18th centuries I, II; grants of the Faculty of Arts (2016 – 2017).

 

Publications
