Objective:
The goal is to explain the position of museology in the system of sciences and its different conception in the world context. Introduction of basic philosophical aspects and current trends.

- Philosophical-theoretical approach to the museum phenomenon
- Heritology, sozology, monumentology, monumentalism
- Relations and trends of modern social sciences
- Personalities of theoretical museology
- Central European School of Museology
- Methodology of museology, methods of museological research,
- Contemporary trends under the influence of Western approaches
Graduation Requirements:
- The instructor will accept a maximum of 2 absences.
- Final sixty-minute quiz.
