or – how, with the help of professionals, to create the premise for your own scientific book

Objective:
This is a practically oriented course, thanks to which the student, in cooperation with the teacher, will be able to choose a topic for the final thesis, master the heuristics of professional literature and develop the first introductory parts of the final (master's) thesis. He will be able to define the subject of his research, critically evaluate the professional literature to date, assess the informative value of relevant historical sources, gain experience in the analysis and criticism of sources and literature and master the formal procedures for formulating a thesis.
Brief outline:
- Selection of the thesis topic, chronological and geographical definition
- Formal and content aspects of the thesis
- Heuristics of literature and sources
- Critical evaluation of the professional literature on the chosen topic
- Evaluation of relevant historical sources
- Layout of the analytical part of the thesis
Graduation requirements:
Fulfillment of ongoing activities = 100% of the assessment (consists of the student's activity, his fulfillment of jointly agreed stages in formulating the thesis).
