or how to test whether the theory from textbooks works in practice

Objective:

The subject is intended for the master's degree in archival and museology. Students complete it over 15 working days, each lasting six hours, in a selected archival, museum, or other memory institution. The internship aims to involve students in professional archival and museum activities according to the instructions of the institution's staff. Students work on real tasks and master the professional work of an archivist or museologist and apply the theoretical knowledge they have acquired in practice. After the internship, each student will receive an assessment from the relevant memory institution on the student's attendance at the internship, activities performed and the activity.

Brief overview:

Professional work in making archival funds and collections accessible.
Professional work in preparing 1st-level and 2nd-level documentation of collection items.
Professional work in providing services to the public in the archive research room.
Professional work in creating museum expositions and exhibitions, and their promotion.
Work in digitising archival documents and collection items.

Graduation requirements:

Regular attendance at the internship, two missed days are accepted.
Active fulfilment of assigned tasks (50%).
Report on the course of the internship, activities performed and evaluation from a professional point of view (50%).
