Objective:

Getting to know cultural and historical monuments abroad, in the Central European area. Based on the acquired knowledge from the history of the Habsburg monarchy and the Central European area, the course focuses on getting to know tangible and intangible heritage, similarities and differences. The student will deepen his ability to apply and connect the acquired knowledge from individual courses.

Brief overview:

The course represents active teaching in direct contact with monuments. The excursion program is primarily focused on visits to movable monuments stored in archives, familiarization with museum and gallery collections and learning about architectural monuments in situ in the Central European area. It is designed to offer the widest possible spectrum of stylistic transformations in a historical context.

Graduation requirements:

  • Completion of a total of 5 days of excursion.
  • Active performance of assigned tasks (100%) – paper and final report – evaluation of visited institutions and locations.
