Objective:

Getting to know the cultural and historical monuments of Bratislava in situ and local memory institutions (Archives of the City of Bratislava, Museum of the City of Bratislava, museums and galleries). Based on the topographical development of the city, getting to know tangible and intangible heritage. The student will deepen his ability to apply and connect the acquired knowledge from individual courses.

Brief overview:

The course represents active teaching in direct contact with monuments. The excursion program is primarily focused on visits to movable monuments stored in archives, getting to know museum and gallery collections and getting to know architectural monuments in situ. It is designed to offer the widest possible spectrum of stylistic transformations in a historical context.

Graduation requirements:

• Completion of a total of 5 days of excursion.
• Active performance of assigned tasks (100%) – paper and final report – evaluation of visited institutions and locations.
