Objective:
The subject is intended for the master's degree in archival studies and is a continuation of the subject Archiving I. It focuses on issues of archival practice and discusses in detail individual professional archival activities, from pre-archival care, through making archival funds and collections accessible, to providing services to the public. Students will learn the criteria for evaluating and selecting archival documents, will know how to research the creators of archival funds, will master the main methods of organizing archival documents and creating the structure of the fund, will acquire skills in defining inventory units of various types of documents and their archival description. They will learn individual types of finding aids and will be able to create them. The aim of the subject is for students to acquire practical competences for working in archives or other memory institutions.

- Making archival files accessible (systemization, identification, inventory)

- Access to archival documents and provision of services to the public
Requirements for graduation:
- Regular attendance at lectures, three missed classes without an excuse are accepted.
- Worksheets – creating comprehensive archival descriptions of selected archival documents according to the assignment (40%).
- Passing the final online knowledge test (60%).
