Mgr. Mária Rímešová studied history at the Faculty of Arts of Comenius University in Bratislava. In 2020 she defended her MA thesis, Regulation of birth rate in Czechoslovakia in 1920´s with emphasis on Slovakia. She joined the Department of Slovak History as a doctoral student in 2020. She deals with the Slovak history of the 20th century. She is the author of the study Ľudovít Holotík, Slovak Marxist Historian and his "Cases" in Slovak Historiography. The topic of her dissertation is Slovak historiography at the Department of Czechoslovak History of FiF UK under the supervision of Doc. PhDr. Peter Podolan, PhD.
