Applicants and Admission
To be admitted for studies at the Faculty of Arts, Comenius University in Bratislava an applicant needs to submit the online application form, send a list of documents by air-mail to the address of the faculty and then pass the entrance tests specified by the study program. After the applicant is admitted for studies he/she needs to apply for the recognition of his/her secondary education in Slovakia, enroll for studies and apply foe the temporal residence stay permit. All administrative steps are chronologically described below.
1st step - Submit online application form
Applicants need to submit the online application form, which is available on this website. Application deadline for the online application form is February 28, 2021 (23:59 CET). Application form submitted after the application deadline will not be included in the selection process. Please, do nor forget to upload the confirmation of finishing your secondary education and confirmation of payment for the admission proceedings, to the online application form. NOTE: we need only a copy of diploma of your secondary education, transcripts of records of each year of studies is not necessary.
The payment for admisson proceedings is usually automatically generated by the application platform. In case you are not able to find the payment order, you may pay using information below.

2nd step - Pass the entrance examination
After an application applies for studies, he/she will be informed by a letter about the time and place of the entrance examination for studies (approximarely mid of March). For more information about the entrance examination please refer to the section "Entrance Examination"
Note: In accordance with the Faculty of Arts’ admission proceedings rules, all applicants will be admitted without taking an entrance examination in case fewer than, or the same number of applicants as has been stipulated, apply for the study. The applicant is informed about this fact by a letter. In case higher number of applicants as has been stipulated, apply for the study, entrance exams are organized through SCIO platform (for more information please refer section Entrance Examinations).
3rd step - Letter of acceptance and recognition of secondary education
The applicant is informed about the results of the admission exams by a letter. If the applicant is admitted for studies, he is required to inform about his/her intention to study at the faculty by the return slip which needs to be send to the address of the faculty:

This letter contains also an information about the accommodation possibilities in Bratislava. You may apply for the accommodation using our web system. All necessary information is included in the letter.
If the applicant wants to study in Slovakia, he/she has to apply for the recognition of his/her secondary education. For further information about this process, please refer to the section "Recognition of the Secondary Education Completed Abroad".
4th step - Participate in the enrollment procedure for studies
The final step to be admitted for studies and to become a student of the Faculty of Arts is to participate in the enrollment procedure. This procedure takes place in September, usually during the first half of the month. The date and time of the procedure is announced to the applicant in a letter of acceptance.
