Associate Professor Mgr. Lucia Lichnerová completed her Master studies at Comenius University, Faculty of Arts in 1999 in the field of Library and Information Science, with the focus on historical library documents and collections, and non-Slavic philology of German Language and Literature. After her Master studies, she did her doctoral studies in the field of Library and Information Science at the Department of Library and Information Science at the Faculty of Arts which she joined as a full-time staff member in 2001. In 2018 she became an Associate Professor in the field of Library and Information Science and published a publication “German Printed Books in the Slovak Territory before the End of the 17th Century (1477-1699)”. In her teaching and research activities she focuses on the topics of history of copyright, bibliography and bibliographic control, history of books and libraries, history of book distribution, publishing and book printing, writing of final theses, name cataloguing and management of information institutions. She has participated in several research projects of VEGA and KEGA schemes, e.g. “Modelling the Information Environment of Digital Science” (2015-2017); “Academic Information Environment – Modelling from the Perspective of Information Ecology (2009-2011); INWENT – Information Studies withinWeb 2.0 and New Technologies (2009-2011). She is an editor of “Library and Information Science” almanac.
Associate Professor Lucia Lichnerová was appointed to the position of the Vice-dean for the bachelor and master studies on 01 March, 2019.
