Project Systematic Support to HE teachers

The project "Systematic Support to HE teachers as a Key to Developing Quality Education" responds to the requirement to provide institutions a tool for evaluating teaching at university level. In Slovakia, university teachers are evaluated primarily based on research outputs, the number of students they teach, and project and administrative duties. A respected set of criteria for the evaluation of teaching, which is the primary mission of HE institution, has been missing. Therefore, as part of this project, we prepared such a tool and initiated a discussion about its implementation in order to recognise and reward excellent university teachers. An integral part of the project is a proposal for the system of institutional support of university teachers.
