Research

The research at the Department of Slovak Literature and Literary Studies centres on the history of Slovak literature from its beginnings until today, on theoretical and methodological aspects of literary research, on translation studies and on critical reception of contemporary literature. The faculty is involved in Slovak and foreign grant research projects related to theory of literature and history of Slovak literature.

Members of the department participated in several international projects related to the history of Slovak literature (United Kingdom, Netherlands, France, Germany, Russia, Poland, Slovenia, Macedonia, Czech Republic, Italy and other countries).

Several individual and joint research projects were submitted in 2015 in the agencies APPV, VEGA and KEGA, as well as at the univesity and faculty.
