Mária Lacináková

Mgr. Mária Lacináková (1988) is from Veľké Rovné. After finishing the Grammar School in Bytča she studied translation and interpreting: English language and culture – Arabic language and culture at Comenius University in Bratislava, Faculty of Arts, the Department of Classical and Semitic Philology (graduated in 2011). She specializes in Arabic linguistics and codicology. Her dissertation thesis “al-Kisā’ī: Kitāb ‘Ağā’ib al-malakūt. The Way of Preservation and Linguistic Aspect of Manuscripts” (field of study: general linguistics) is aimed at providing a linguistic analysis of five manuscripts and edition of a selection of the given medieval collection of Arabic Islamic religious stories.
