Import Termbase
Prepare your termbase using a spreadsheet application like Microsoft Excel or LibreOffice Calc.
- Structure your spreadsheet according to the provided image:
Ensure column names match standard language codes (e.g., "zh-CN" for Chinese, "sk-SK" for Slovak, "sl-SL" for Slovenian).
- Maintain the order of columns with the source language (e.g., Chinese) on the left and the target language on the right. Save the file format as ".xlsx".
You can then import a termbase in two ways:
- Through the Main Menu: Access the import option from the application's main menu.
- From the Termbase Tab Menu: Locate the import option within the dedicated termbase tab menu.
Import Translation Memory
Translation memory can be imported directly from the main menu. The translation memory must have a tmx extension.
Changing Language
Target language can be changed when opening a new document or during translation. In the first case, this can be done by opening the Help window >> File Settings. During translation, the language can be changed at any time by clicking on the status bar in the bottom right corner. Different segments can have different languages. The language of the entire document is the language of the last saved segment.
Export Vocabulary
Vocabulary from a document (including HSK data) can be exported from the main menu. The file can be saved with a csv or xlsx extension.
