 The dissertation focuses on researching and mapping communication barriers faced by Roma communities when interacting with healthcare, social, and other public administration institutions in Slovakia. The dissertation builds on pilot qualitative research in healthcare by expanding the focus to interactions with authorities and public services in everyday life situations. The key objective is to explore the possibilities for developing public service interpretatiing services specifically tailored to the linguistic and social needs of Roma communities in Slovakia.
