Enrollment for study
In accordance with the Comenius University and the Comenius University, Faculty of Arts study regulations, students wishing to make any alterations related to the subjects they have signed in for in the summer term will be allowed to do so through the first two weeks of the summer term. The system will remain open from 17 February 2020 (from 08:00 am) to 1 March 2020 (until 23:59 pm).
Subjects which have been entered in the registration sheets will be considered as enrolled for regardless of their being or not being signed in for in the timetable. It is highly advisable then to check the status of your enrolment during the above mentioned period.
The Faculty on-line enrolment will start on 3 September 2018 from 8:00 a.m. Subjects for the 2018/2019 academic year (both winter and summer term) can be chosen and your selection can be edited anytime until 7/10/2018 by 23:59 when the system will be closed.
Caution for students enrolling for the Master’s degree of study: Due to the ongoing process of assembling data on completion of bachelor’s degree studies of applicants accepted conditionally, the studies and registration sheets enabling applicants to enrol for subjects will be available from Monday, 10 September 2018 from about 2:00 p.m. Please note of the fact that studies and registration sheets will only be made for the applicants who will have delivered the graduation certificate by 7 September 2018 (The 2018 Faculty of Arts, CU graduates do not have to submit the certificate).
To get access to the on-line electronic enrolment, students must meet the following terms (this refers to students of the second and higher years at each degree of study):
- All the conditions for promotion to next year must be fulfilled;
- The fee for the 2018/2019 academic year validation stamp must be paid. The payment order is available from the AIS2 in the application VSES017 ‘Study, list of studies; menu "School fees and charges", select the year 2018/2019... (Brief instruction). After making the payment by bank transfer (internet banking, at a branch) and providing all the data (account number, amount, variable symbol and specific symbol), your payment will be matched automatically within 5 business days. The logging of your payment can be checked via AIS2. Do not make your payments by a money order!!! Should you fail to observe the above mentioned procedure, you will be obliged to submit relevant documents confirming the payment. By paying the fee, your binding decision to enrol as a student at the Faculty of Arts, CU for the relevant academic year will be confirmed.
Provided your fee has not been registered with the system and the system subsequently fails to generate the payment order (this point concerns predominantly students who will study in the overdue length of study in the 2018/2019 academic year), please e-mail the department of study affairs at so (at) fphil.uniba.sk.
Please, note that you wish to sign in for optional courses offered by another department, i.e. not included in your study programme, you have to secure your participation in the subject within the “advance enrolment” process at the department concerned (secretary’s office) or with the relevant teacher. This condition does not apply to the so called “faculty subjects” which are offered within the virtual study programmes of boSZ (bachelor’s degree) and moSZ (master’s degree).
The subjects structure of your study programme and the timetable will be available from AIS2 too (from the last August week).
The subject structure for the given academic year is available in the Study programmes menu (on the left), in the VSST178 application.
Also available are the brief instruction for searching in schedule and instruction for enrolling the subjects. Please note that the subjects must both be entered in the registration sheet and signed in for in the timetable. In case you remove the subject from your timetable but fail to remove it from your registration sheet, the subject will still show as registered.
Apart from the ‘remote’ enrolment you will have to enrol in person as well (card validation, submission of the affidavit of previous or parallel study, verification of the previous academic year study results) according the enrolment schedule with your administrator.
Enrolment is carried out in two phases:
- The main enrolment of senior students will take place from 06/09/2018 to 14/09/2018 (in accordance with the enrolment schedule), every week-day from 09:00 a.m. to 04:00 p.m., with a lunch break for each administrator;
- Any changes in subject enrolment (in accordance with study regulations) can be carried out by 7 October 2018 by 11:59 p.m. At midnight the enrolment system will be closed.
Check your enrolment before the period allowed for making alterations expires (i.e. by 7 October 2018). If anything is wrong, make corrections. Later requests for enrolment changes will not be accepted! Subjects entered in the registration sheet will be considered as enrolled for regardless of their being or not being signed in for in the timetable!
